There are 5 or 6 direct trains to Fes, as far as I know; It's $16 for an eight hour trip. The railway station is on Ave Hassan II, on the western side of Gueliz, so you should take a taxi or a bus (no 3, 8, 10, and 14 - cost $0,30 per trip) to get there from the city centre.
