We stayed at Hotel d'Alger last year for 2 days and we had no complaints about the place, the rooms were large, overlooking a pleasant yard. It's located on 34 Rue Souq Semara, and the local phone number is 037 724829. It's one of the best deals in the area- $3 per night. The only draw back is that there are no showers.
